I am a teacher and librarian based in Melbourne, Australia. Middle Grade readers – and books - hold a special place in my heart. I write about quirky objects in spooky settings, and am fascinated by the idea of ghosts (although I hope never to meet one in real life). When I was growing up, I believed the places I read about in novels were real, and findable. As an adult, I have gone in search of them, sometimes finding nothing, sometimes finding lingering traces of the magic that inspired the author, sometimes coming away with a sense of awe and genuine connection. Travelling to the places which inspired my favourite authors is a passion and I have had a number of literary travel articles published, primarily in Good Reading Magazine (Australia).
